Howdo!
My name is Dr. Aicha Alexandra Bahij - I'm an artist, illustrator and researcher based in Bradford, UK.
My creative practice is a mixture of ink drawings, watercolour, digital illustration and printmaking. I'm drawn to the little things in everyday life, the strange and the familiar and all the feelings and stories that sit somewhere in between.
Alongside making art, I'm a lecturer in Sociology and Criminology, where I like to bring creativity into my teaching and research. I'm particularly interested in how art can help us explore identity, belonging and the different ways we make sense of the world.
